# Why hire me?

Hi, my name is Julio and I'm a Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience.

I enjoy building software that is reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain, from backend systems and APIs to complete web applications. I'm especially interested in banking, financial services, and marketing platforms, where software needs to handle real data, real users, and real business problems.

I'm always trying to improve as a developer. I like understanding how things work under the hood, learning new technologies, and turning ideas into working projects. I also care about the details that make software better in the long run: good architecture, testing, performance, security, and developer experience.

I'm not someone who wants to stay with the same tools forever. I like experimenting, building things, breaking them, learning from them, and then using what I learned in the next project.

And, of course... my operating system is Arch Linux. I use Arch, btw. 😄

Why do you use AI if you care so much about understanding the code?

Because I see AI as an assistant, not as a replacement for the developer. I can use it to explore ideas or speed up repetitive work, but I always review the code, understand what it does, and validate it with unit and integration tests.

What makes you different as a developer?

I'm very curious and creative. I like building things, testing new technologies, and experimenting with ideas instead of only following tutorials or using the same stack for everything. I've been building projects since before AI became part of my workflow, so I know how to solve problems without depending on it.

Why are you interested in financial and marketing software?

I like systems where data and reliability really matter. Banking and financial software have interesting problems around transactions, security, analytics, and scalability, while marketing platforms have interesting problems around large amounts of data, automation, and real-time processing. Both are areas I want to understand more deeply and build software for.
